Answer
Your application has been evaluated by the Academic Management Division (BPA)/Faculty concerned and the reason for unsuccessful will be notified at your email. There are various reasons why an application is rejected, for example; a programme is highly competitive, lack of experience, does not meet the minimum requirement and etc.

I had submitted my application to further my studies, when can I know the result?
Answer
It takes 2 months for an application of studies to be processed. Normally it will take a month for the faculty to process the applications and another month for verification and coordination before a decision is made.

What is the procedure for entry into the undergraduate degree programme: application procedure, qualifications needed, work experience, payment of fees? Who can I name to be the Referee and how long does it take to process my application?
Answer
The entry requirement can be found from UMP website at http://www.ump.edu.my/. The application processing fee is USD30/= for international applicants and all the processing fees are payable to Bendahari, Universiti Malaysia Pahang. The referees should be from an academic institution. The full process of application takes about 2 months.

I sent in my application some time ago. What is the status of my application?
Answer
Once your application has been forwarded to the faculty concerned for consideration and after the decision has been made Academic Management Division (BPA) will then inform the candidate in due course. Usually it will take a month for the faculty to process the applications and another month for verification and coordination before a decision is made.

I have registered with UMP and I have not received my matric card. How long does it take?
Answer

Normally, the matric card will be issued within a week after the photography session, unless there is some amendment or correction of personal particulars.

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I am unable to register as a student in September/February. What am I suppose to do?
Answer
Late registration will be permitted only under special circumstances and subject to the approval of the university (for example, cases involving immigration matters). However, a grace period of one semester is allowed for special cases, after which the student need to reapply as a fresh candidate.

I am a registered Bachelor Degree student with UMP and I wish to pursue another Bachelor Degree in one of our local Universities or maybe abroad. Am I permitted?
Answer
Simultaneous registration for another degree with any other university, locally or abroad, without prior permission from UMP is not allowed.

How shall I apply for hostel in UMP?
Answer
You can apply for the hostel via IPS website under “Download” and “Forms” at http://ips.ump.edu.my/index.php/download/cat_view/35-forms.html and it will take about less than a month for processing subjected to the availability of the hostel.

I have done my medical check-up at the clinic/hospital but my medical results are still pending can I register without my medical results?
Answer
No, the regulations do not permitted a student to enrol without the medical clearance from a recognised doctor.
